Firstly ‘Companion Dog’ this is where we aim to help train the dogs to a basic level of obedience E.G. (walking to heel and coming back when called).
The second one we call ‘Support Dog’ this is where we aim to help train the dogs to pick up and retrieve various items for their disabled owners ranging from the keys to walking sticks even to a
three-wheeled walking frame .
The owners will have to be very patient as it takes time to train the dogs.
Training is on one to one
basis and at a pace to suit the
disabled person and dog so they can
progress together.
